Mimir's Well is a prediction market. We could have called it that and stopped. Instead we named the chalice, the verdict, the sacrifice — because how a thing is named changes how it is felt. A bet is just money on a guess. A sacrifice is something else.

  • The Well

    Mimir's Well sits beneath the world-tree. Whoever drinks from it sees what is to come.

    MechanicEvery market is a question dropped into the well. The price is the crowd's answer.

  • The Chalice

    The vessel a seeker raises to drink. To lift the chalice is to make a claim on the future.

    MechanicA YES / NO position. Filling it costs KTA; emptying it pays out if you were right.

  • Verdict

    The moment the well speaks. The waters settle and the truth is named.

    MechanicResolution. The market closes; winners receive the pool minus losers' stakes.

  • Sacrifice

    The ancient price of foresight. Odin gave an eye; you give KTA.

    MechanicThe amount you stake on a prediction. Visible in your ledger forever.

  • Conviction

    How much weight you place behind your seeing. The certain pay more, the wary, less.

    MechanicYour stake size relative to the average. High conviction = bigger payout if correct.

  • Mimirite

    One who has drunk and returned. A keeper of the well.

    MechanicAny wallet that has placed at least one bet. You are one once you sacrifice.

  • Council of Seers

    Those whose verdicts the well has rewarded most often. Their names are kept.

    MechanicThe leaderboard. Ranked by accuracy and net KTA across the season.

  • The Ledger

    Every drink, every verdict, written in the bark of the world-tree.
